OVA
Description
Rinon Otometachibana is a second-year student at Tougetsu High School and one of the five Workshop witches assigned to protect the city. Before her magical role is made clear, she is introduced as an infamous school delinquent known as "Bear Killer Rinon," a nickname earned from the claim that she once strangled a tiger with her bare hands. She leads a gang of female delinquents who dress in furry hamster costumes, and her first major action in the story is to damage school property in order to pressure Honoka Takamiya into stepping down as student council president. She challenges him to a fight because she has been tricked by the former student council president into believing that Honoka mistreated her. The confrontation ends when Ayaka Kagari, aided by the Ivory Quintet, intervenes and defeats her.

Personality-wise, Rinon presents a tough, belligerent, and unruly exterior. She is generally portrayed as aggressive, confrontational, and unconcerned with the welfare of the school, and she can abandon even a polite manner to lash out without restraint once her facade is dropped. In the manga, the scar on her forehead bleeds whenever she becomes angry, underscoring her volatile temper. Despite this rough nature, she is not purely a troublemaker. As a Workshop witch, she is loyal to Kazane Kagari, the leader of the Workshop witches in the city, and is said to take orders only from her. She also serves as the magical mentor to Kasumi Takamiya, training her within the Workshop hierarchy, which places her in a meaningful supporting role among the city's magical defenders.

Her most notable ability is her immense physical strength, which she enhances through magic rather than by casting visible spells. This makes her a formidable close-combat fighter and fits her fearsome street reputation. Her leadership over her gang of costumed delinquents is another defining trait, blending her street persona with her place in the magical world.

Over the course of the story, Rinon shifts from being an initial opponent to an allied Workshop witch. After her defeat, she becomes part of the Workshop's defensive network, working under Kazane and helping to train the next generation of witches such as Kasumi. Her development is therefore tied to her transition from school troublemaker to a functioning member of the city's protection system, even as she keeps her abrasive personality.
