Description
Albion, known as the White Dragon Emperor or the Vanishing Dragon, is one of the two legendary Heavenly Dragons. His soul is sealed within the Longinus sacred gear known as Divine Dividing, and his current host and partner is Vali Lucifer. In the distant past, Albion was a solitary dragon known as Gwiber, whose immensely powerful and unique venom was feared even by gods. This poisonous ability, which could reduce the very existence of living beings and even damage their souls, left him isolated and lonely. His life changed upon meeting his destined rival, the Red Dragon Emperor Ddraig, who possessed a natural immunity to his venom. Excited to finally have an equal, Albion sealed his original poison ability away and focused on honing new powers through his eternal conflict with Ddraig.

Albion's personality is defined by immense pride as a Heavenly Dragon, but this has undergone a significant shift over the millennia. In the ancient past, he was defined by his intense and bitter rivalry with Ddraig, to the point where their constant fighting interrupted the Great War between the Three Factions of Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils, leading to their bodies being destroyed and their souls sealed into sacred gears. While the rivalry with Ddraig persists as a core part of his identity, modern times have brought an unexpected and somewhat depressing turn. Due to the antics of his host, Vali, and Ddraig's host, Issei Hyoudou, Albion has been saddled with the humiliating nickname of the Butt Dragon Emperor, while his rival is known as the Breast Dragon Emperor. This has left both ancient dragons deeply embarrassed and mentally scarred, to the point of requiring emotional support. Despite this shared trauma, the long-standing animosity has softened into a grudging understanding and even cooperation, especially when facing common threats or dealing with the absurdity of their current situation.

Albion's primary motivation, rooted in his history, is the pursuit of strength and a worthy opponent, a desire that was fulfilled by his rivalry with Ddraig. In the present era, his motivations are closely tied to his host, Vali. While he maintains that a final battle with Ddraig and Issei is inevitable, he has come to value his current existence and partnership with Vali, showing a great deal of care for him similar to how Ddraig cares for Issei. His role in the story is therefore as a source of immense power for Vali, a legendary figure whose reputation commands respect and fear, and a secondary character whose ancient conflict provides a backdrop for the newer generation's struggles. Albion is a key member of the Vali Team and has been affiliated with factions like the Khaos Brigade and later the allied DxD team. His development is most evident in the gradual reconciliation with Ddraig. After tens of thousands of years of conflict, they chose to set aside their rivalry to cooperate against powerful enemies, acknowledging that together, they could face any threat.

Albion possesses a terrifying array of abilities. His most famous power, developed through his rivalry with Ddraig, is Divide. This allows him to halve the strength of his opponent every ten seconds and add that halved power to his own, though it does not restore stamina. He can also use an advanced technique called Half Dimension, which halves the size of everything within a certain range. Another ability is Reflect, which allows him to deflect attacks back at an opponent. His original and most dreaded power, Reduce, is a unique venom he has largely chosen not to use. This poison is capable of reducing and destroying both the body and soul of any living being, including gods, with Ddraig, Great Red, and Ophis being notable exceptions. When his host achieves the Balance Breaker known as Divine Dividing Scale Mail, a white suit of armor, Albion's power is massively amplified. The ultimate form, achieved through the forbidden Juggernaut Drive or the safer Empress Mode known as DxD Lucifer Drive, allows Albion to manifest his power as a colossal white dragon and summon twelve small dragons to fight by his side, representing a state close to his original, full power.
