Description
Bimi is a central figure in Mikagura School Suite, serving as a teacher at Mikagura Academy and a constant companion to the protagonist, Eruna Ichinomiya. His true name is a complex arrangement of symbols that Eruna could not remember, leading her to nickname him Bimi, derived from the Japanese word bimyou, meaning questionable, which she felt suited his peculiar appearance.

At first glance, Bimi appears as a small, winged, cat-like creature with white fur and brown markings on his face, tail, and feet. He sports a flower choker around his neck and possesses small wings that allow him to fly. Despite his cute and somewhat odd appearance, he speaks with a deep, cool male voice and has a distinctive verbal tic, often adding the sound ryui to the end of his sentences. This form, however, is not his original one. As revealed in the fifth light novel, Bimi was originally a middle-school-aged boy with pale pink, messy hair, often seen chewing pink bubblegum. His human attire consists of a black jacket with a pink hood over a white shirt, black pants, and a pink and white striped tie, complemented by a pink headband and choker. He was forced into his cat-like form by the school's headmistress, who wished to borrow his human appearance for her own purposes.

In terms of personality, Bimi is generally level-headed and serves as the straight man to the chaotic and often nonsensical behavior of Eruna and other students like Otone Fujishiro. He frequently finds himself the victim of their pranks and is often left amazed or exhausted by Eruna's relentless antics, yet he continues to support her faithfully. As a member of the teaching staff, he is recognized by students as Sensei, and his duties are unique. Rather than teaching a regular class, his role involves accompanying and observing a specific student each year, acting as a mentor, guide, and referee during club battles. He possesses a deep understanding of the students' individual traits and pasts, as seen when he explains Kyoma Kuzuryuu's history to Eruna. When he reverts to his human form, his personality shifts to project a cooler, more confident image, though he remains prone to frustration when he accidentally slips back into his cat-form speech patterns.

Bimi's primary motivation is to fulfill his duty as a teacher, which involves finding and nurturing a student capable of becoming the academy's Flagbearer. He previously trained Seisa Mikagura to become the strongest student in the school, a role that left her isolated and emotionally scarred after a betrayal from an upperclassman she admired. Following that incident, the headmistress ordered Bimi to leave Seisa's side and seek out a new candidate, leading him to Eruna Ichinomiya. His role in the story is therefore twofold: he is Eruna's guide, explaining the complex school systems and battle rules, and he is also a key figure in the larger narrative concerning the academy's power structure and Seisa's troubled past.

Bimi's key relationships are primarily with the main student characters. His bond with Eruna is the most prominent; he accompanies her everywhere, from her entrance exam to her daily adventures, acting as her advisor and often the voice of reason. He is instrumental in helping her start her own club, the I'll Figure It Out Later Club, by agreeing to be its faculty advisor and even transforming into his human form to serve as its official third member. His relationship with Seisa is more complex and rooted in the past. As her former trainer, he holds a deep respect for her power but also carries the weight of the events that led to her current withdrawn state. He also maintains a respectful, if not close, relationship with Kyoma, who knows him from that earlier time. After his transformation, his interactions with Eruna and Otone remain unchanged, as they continue to treat him with the same familiarity and lack of reverence as before.

Throughout the series, Bimi's development is marked by his return to human form, a significant event that allows him to more directly intervene in student affairs. This change highlights his long-standing commitment to the academy and his students. Regarding notable abilities, Bimi is indicated to be exceptionally strong in battle, a fact appropriate for his status as a teacher. He is confident enough to challenge a powerful student like Otone without using his special ability. His own ability, jokingly named Unbeatable Tsukkomi by Eruna, reflects his role as the ultimate straight man, suggesting a power that can counter any foolishness or attack.
