TV-Series
Description
Himi Yasaka is a second-year student at Mikagura Academy and serves as the representative of the Calligraphy Club. She is a petite girl, standing at 148 centimeters tall, although she frequently claims to be 200 centimeters tall due to her intense sensitivity about her small stature. Her wish, if granted only one, would be to grow taller. She has brown hair styled in a short bob and yellow eyes, and typically wears the traditional uniform of the Calligraphy Club, which consists of white robes, a black hakama, and a yellow obi.
Himi has a childish, naturally curious, and energetic personality. She is cheerful and easygoing, with a well-known catchphrase about discarding unpleasant things. She is not skilled at lying or being deceptive. Despite her youthful demeanor, she takes her position as a club representative and honor student seriously, showing a sense of responsibility and a slightly more mature, even motherly, side when the situation calls for it. In casual settings, she is a self-proclaimed food lover, especially enjoying sweets, biscuits, and candy, while strongly disliking capsicum. Carbonated drinks have an unusual effect on her, causing her to become intoxicated and behave in a troublesome manner. Her favorite pastime is calligraphy.
In the story, Himi becomes one of the first friends of the protagonist, Eruna Ichinomiya. Their relationship is close, with Eruna often showing great affection for her, and Himi candidly commenting on things like Eruna's poor sleeping habits. Despite their friendship, Himi initially loses to Eruna during a competition due to underestimating her opponent; however, a subsequent rematch demonstrates the significant gap in their abilities. She is noted to have a similar fashion sense to another character, Sumikawa Sadamatsu, leading fans to informally group them together as the "Japanese-style group," though her primary connection remains with Eruna.
Her role extends to that of a reliable upperclassman. She is shown to warn Eruna about school rules, such as removing obstructions from dormitory corridors, and she holds herself accountable, expressing regret when she misses a representative meeting because she forgot her schedule. Her personal quirks include a strange habit of attempting fortune-telling with her giant brush, despite her predictions being notoriously inaccurate throughout the school. She also becomes disoriented when drinking carbonated beverages, having once become a nuisance to others at a celebration party. Her attitude shifts notably in battle, becoming more serious and focused compared to her normally relaxed state.
Himi possesses an ability known as Lovely Ink. When this power is activated, she uses her giant calligraphy brush to write characters that she can then bring to life, creating physical manifestations to attack her opponents.
