Description
In the anime Yatterman Night, the character known as Elephantus is the central figure who adopts the alias Tonzra, or Tonzura. He is the direct descendant of the original Tonzura from the earlier Yatterman series. Generations after the original Doronbo Gang was defeated and exiled, Elephantus is introduced as a young man living on the outskirts of the now-oppressive Yatter Kingdom.
Elephantus is distinguished by his large and powerful build, which he uses as the primary physical enforcer or the brawn of the reformed Doronbo Gang. He has a kind and gentle demeanor, often described as being soft-hearted despite his immense strength. He is not particularly intellectual or well-educated, largely due to his family being banished from the kingdom, which led him to live a simple life as a farmhand before the story begins. When Dorothy dies after being denied medicine by the ruling Yattermen, Elephantus joins Leopard in her rebellion against the Yatter Kingdom, taking on the mantle of Tonzra to honor his family's legacy.
