Description
Kenta Miyake is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born on August 23, 1977, in Okinawa Prefecture. He is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce and has been active in the industry since 1999. Standing at 181 cm, he is known for his notably low voice. His motivation to become a voice actor stemmed from a desire to meet and co-star with an actress he admired. Throughout his career, Miyake has taken on roles originally performed by several veteran voice actors following their passing, including Masashi Amenomori, Daisuke Gōri, Unshō Ishizuka, and Kiyoyuki Yanada. A significant example of this is his role as Giovanni in the Pokémon anime series, which he assumed after the death of Hirotaka Suzuoki.

Miyake's filmography is extensive, spanning numerous anime series, films, and video games. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of All Might in the long-running series My Hero Academia. Other prominent roles include Tsume in Wolf's Rain, Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Muhammad Avdol in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, and Vector the Crocodile in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise since 2003. He also voices Cocytus in the Overlord series, Rak Wraithraiser in Tower of God, and has taken on roles such as Bowser in the Japanese dub of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. His work extends to video games, where he has voiced characters like Zangief in the Street Fighter series and Leongar in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

For his performance, Miyake received the Best Actor in a Supporting Role award at the 13th Seiyu Awards in 2019. He is also known to be a fan of judo.
