TV-Series
Description
Rak Wraithraiser belongs to the Wraithraiser species, a race confined to a Tower region where they live only with turtles. This isolation leads them to perceive all outsiders as prey, explaining Rak's consistent use of "turtle" as a descriptor for others. He modifies it with colors or traits to distinguish individuals, like "black turtle" for Twenty-Fifth Baam and "blue turtle" for Khun Aguero Agnis. As a direct descendant of the Native One, the Tower's original rulers, he possesses unique physiological traits and latent potential.
Originally a towering reptilian humanoid, Rak was forcibly shrunk by Ranker Yu Han Sung after mocking the Test Director during Second Floor examinations. He later gained control over size shifting using a Compression Licenser, allowing him to switch between his natural giant form and a compressed state at will. Entering the Tower as a C-rank Regular Spear Bearer, Rak climbs seeking "something that transcends all things"—an objective beyond desires like wealth or revenge.
Rak combines brash confidence, sharp hunting instincts, and surprising perceptiveness. He openly challenges powerful opponents to absorb their strength, viewing hunting as self-improvement. This drive led him to target Baam upon sensing the Black March's power in the Crown Game. Though initially reluctant to collaborate, he formed a permanent team with Baam and Khun after being tricked into partnership during Second Floor tests. Despite arrogance and reckless charges into danger, he demonstrates fierce loyalty, like tearfully reuniting with Baam after believing him dead or defending Khun in battle.
He wields immense physical strength, hurling spears vast distances, shattering barriers, and enduring high-density shinsu. His combat expertise centers on spears, starting with the Red Spear before upgrading to the shape-shifting Mad Shocker. Discovering his shinsu affinity for stone manipulation allowed him to generate rock shields and petrify objects, a power confirming his Native One lineage that often synergizes with Khun's ice shinsu for combined defenses. Later, he absorbed fragments of White's power, gaining capabilities like flight.
Key developments include swearing to protect Rachel after Baam's apparent death; infiltrating FUG during the Workshop Battle to confront and confirm Baam's identity as Viole; and retrieving an Ancient Spear from Evankhell. His bond with Khun and Baam deepens through shared conflicts like battling Reflejo or boarding the Hell Train. Though frequently sidelined strategically, his frontline combat role remains vital.
Beyond battle, Rak exhibits quirks like a love for bananas (despite struggling to peel them), hatred for those who ruin them, and a preference for meat and childish foods. His simplistic worldview prioritizes strength, loyalty, and instinct, often yielding direct solutions like kicking open doors during tests instead of solving puzzles.
