Matthew David Rudd is an American film, television, and voice actor known for his extensive work in English dubs of anime series and video games. Born on May 3, 1985, he is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He developed an interest in performance at a young age, beginning as an impressionist and honing his deep, versatile vocal range. After graduating from Sandia Preparatory School in Albuquerque, he attended the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida, where his involvement in film production and audio recording led him to pursue a career in voice acting. He has further refined his craft through study with prominent voice directing and acting coaches, including Kris Zimmerman-Salter and Kirsten Day.

Rudd's career in anime voice-over has seen him take on a wide variety of roles, from comedic characters to powerful antagonists. He is perhaps best known for voicing the sentient Cursed Corpse, Panda, in the immensely popular series Jujutsu Kaisen and its prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. He also voices the menacing Mahoraga in the same franchise. Another significant role is the large, powerful Rak Wraithraiser in the Tower of God anime adaptation.

His filmography includes a wide array of other prominent characters. In the isekai genre, he voices the cunning warrior Brain Unglaus in Overlord and the knight Dillan in Skeleton Knight in Another World. He plays the fierce competitor Shoei Barou in the sports anime Blue Lock and the antagonist Hwang Dongsoo in Solo Leveling. His credits also feature the Salamander in Netflix's Super Crooks, Gaburoon in Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, Atsushi Kamiya in Shoot! Goal to the Future, Shishido in My Hero Academia, Leaky Eye Luca in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and Tamagami Number Three in Dragon Ball Daima.

Beyond anime, Rudd's voice work extends to video games for major companies such as Sony Interactive, Square-Enix, Bethesda Softworks, and Activision/Blizzard, and he has lent his voice to projects for networks like Adult Swim. He has also appeared on-screen in live-action television series, including Queen of the South and American Crime.
