Description
In a post-apocalyptic world where civilization has crumbled, wolves are believed to be extinct. However, they have survived by disguising themselves as humans using a form of illusion. The story centers on Kiba, a lone white wolf driven by an instinctual search for Paradise, a mythical place said to be accessible only to wolves. Along his journey, Kiba encounters other wolves: Tsume, a cynical and independent loner; Hige, a carefree and easygoing wanderer; and Toboe, a young and naive wolf with a strong sense of loyalty. Together, they form a pack, united by their shared desire to find Paradise.

Their quest leads them to cross paths with Cheza, the Flower Maiden, a mysterious girl created through alchemy who is said to hold the key to opening the gates to Paradise. Cheza’s presence attracts not only the wolves but also the attention of humans, including the noblewoman Lady Jaguara, who seeks to use Cheza for her own ambitions, and the scientist Darcia, who harbors a deep obsession with the Flower Maiden. As the wolves protect Cheza and continue their journey, they face numerous challenges, including betrayal, loss, and the harsh realities of their world.

The narrative explores themes of survival, identity, and the search for meaning in a decaying world. The wolves’ journey is fraught with moral dilemmas and emotional struggles, as they grapple with their instincts, their relationships with humans, and their own inner conflicts. The story unfolds in a nonlinear fashion, blending present events with flashbacks that reveal the characters’ pasts and motivations. The series culminates in a poignant and ambiguous conclusion, leaving the fate of the wolves and the existence of Paradise open to interpretation.
