Maria Teresa Hernandez is a Venezuelan voice actress and locutor with a career in dubbing that began in 1989 during what is considered the golden age of Venezuelan dubbing. She is an alumna of the Escuela Superior de Artes Escénicas Juana Sujo and also holds a degree in law. Her extensive body of work spans anime, animated series, and live-action productions for Latin American Spanish dubs.

In the realm of anime, Hernandez is recognized for a wide array of major roles. She is the voice of Kirika Yumura in Noir, Sophia Forrester in Last Exile, and Yomiko Readman in R.O.D. the TV. She has also voiced Caster in Fate/stay night, Lady Integra Wingates Hellsing in Hellsing, Cher Degre in Wolf's Rain, and B.T. in.hack//SIGN. Her filmography includes roles in Fullmetal Alchemist as Schieska, Gantz as Mika Kanda, and Akiha Tōno in Lunar Legend Tsukihime. She provided the voice for the character Silky in the series I'm Gonna Be An Angel. Other notable credits include Tomoko Saeki in DNA², roles in Slayers Try, and various characters in Mushishi and Hell Girl.

Beyond anime, Hernandez's voice is familiar to audiences of Western animation. She is known for her work as Shirley Loon in Tiny Toons and its related productions, and as Courtney Gripling in the series Ginger. She also voiced Cleo in Clifford, Maddie Fenton in Danny Phantom, and was the voice of the Animax channel in the region. Her live-action dubbing work includes the role of Rita Bennett in the series Dexter.

Hernandez has received significant recognition for her work in the dubbing industry. At the 2021 Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS) Awards, known as the Voice Arts Awards, she won two awards. She was honored in the categories of Outstanding Dubbing International, TV or Series, Best Voice Over and Outstanding Dubbing International Motion Picture Films, Best Voice Over. This achievement followed her nomination at the same awards in the previous year, 2020. In addition to her dubbing career, she has worked as a voice-over for Adulto Joven 88.1 FM in Caracas and has hosted the children's segment Mentes Extremas.
