Carlos Campanile is a highly respected Brazilian voice actor with a career spanning over five decades, renowned for his deep and versatile voice. Born in São Paulo on June 3, 1941, he began his career in dubbing in the 1960s at the Ibrasom studio, later moving to the pioneering AIC studio. His first leading role in a series came shortly after, voicing Dr. Tony Newman in O Túnel do Tempo. Throughout his long career, he has worked at nearly all major dubbing studios in São Paulo, including Álamo, Mastersound, Dublavídeo, and many others, and has also taken on coordination roles, such as at CineCastro in the early 1970s.
Campanile is perhaps best known for his iconic portrayal of the villain Freeza. He has voiced the character across numerous installments of the Dragon Ball franchise, including Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, and the films Dragon Ball Super: Broly and Dragon Ball Z: O Renascimento de Freeza.
