Ricardo Sorondo

Description
Ricardo Sorondo is a Venezuelan voice actor recognized for his work in the Latin American Spanish dubbing of numerous anime series, animated shows, and live-action productions. He began his voice acting career at a very young age, with his first role at five years old in the animated film The Brave Little Toaster Goes to School, where he voiced the character Roby. This early start established him as one of the first child voice actors in Venezuela.

Sorondo is perhaps best known in the anime community for his role as Ren Ichimoku in the series Hell Girl. His filmography in anime is extensive and includes a variety of prominent and supporting characters. He voiced Toboe in Wolf's Rain, Dan Taichi (first voice) in The Prince of Tennis, and Isao Kako in Bokurano. Other notable anime roles include River Zastory in Black Cat, Miguel in Beyblade, Sane in an episode of Mushishi, and Will in Solty Rei. He also provided voices for Susumu Shiniki in Excel Saga and additional characters in Blue Dragon and Nodame Cantabile.

Beyond anime, Sorondo's voice has been featured in a wide array of animated series. He is known for playing the title character in Tak and the Power of Juju, Brainiac 5 in Legion of Super Heroes, Noodle in The Save-Ums!, and Gizmo in Teen Titans. He also voiced the character Diego in the popular children's series Dora the Explorer, and took on roles in shows such as Winx Club, SpongeBob SquarePants, and The Fairly OddParents.

His work extends to live-action dubbing for television series and films. A prominent role was providing the voice for Nat Wolff in The Naked Brothers Band. He also dubbed characters in series like The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Weeds, and the Canadian series Overruled! In film, his credits include dubbing for The Mosquito Coast and Ozzy the Koala.

In addition to his performance work, Sorondo has also worked as an audio editor. He has been active in the Venezuelan dubbing industry and has been associated with the Venezuelan television channel Venevision Plus. A notable aspect of his career is that his voice for Diego in Dora the Explorer was often compared to that of Mexican dubbing actor Manuel Díaz, who also voiced the character.
