Massimiliano Alto

Description
Massimiliano Alto is an Italian voice actor and dubbing director, born in Rome on March 25, 1973, who is widely recognized for his extensive work in the Italian-language adaptations of anime and Western animation. He was born into a family of voice actors, being the son of Luciano Alto and Ughetta Lanari, and began his career in dubbing at a very young age, starting in 1977 at just four years old. His early work included providing voices for children's programs and re-dubbings of classic films.

Alto's career is marked by a significant number of iconic anime roles. Among his most notable performances are the male version of Ranma Saotome in the anime series Ranma ½, as well as in the films Team Ranma vs. The Legendary Phoenix and others. He also voiced Tentomon in the Digimon franchise, including the film Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. His repertoire further includes the role of Wan in K.O. Beast, Daisaku Kuruma in Giant Robo, Yugo in Battle Angel, Takeo Takakura in Magic User's Club!, and Hiroshi in Queen Emeraldas.

Beyond these roles, Alto has lent his voice to a vast array of other prominent characters in the anime world. He was the first Italian voice of Inuyasha in the initial episodes of the series of the same name and also performed the theme song. He voiced Lelouch Vi Britannia in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Kaworu Nagisa in Neon Genesis Evangelion, Akito Tenkawa in Martian Successor Nadesico, and Hige in Wolf's Rain, among many others. He also took on the role of Trunks in several Dragon Ball Z films during the 1990s. In Western animation, he is well-known for being the voice of Aladdin in the Disney film and its sequels, as well as Porky Pig, Yakko in Animaniacs, and Mort in the Madagascar films.

In addition to his voice acting, Massimiliano Alto is also an accomplished musician. He has studied music since the age of twelve and has been part of several bands, including Web (later known as Emily), with which he won the best new artist category at the Sanremo Rock festival in 1997. As of 2013, he has been the lead singer and guitarist for the band The Public Radar. His career as a musician led him to partially step back from dubbing for a period, though he continued to take on roles. More recently, he has also worked extensively as a dubbing director for numerous anime films and series, including works for Studio Ghibli and live-action adaptations.
