David Nathan is a German voice actor and dubbing artist, born on March 16, 1971, in East Berlin. He is the son of voice actor Michael Pan and began his career working in the DEFA dubbing studios as a child. After leaving the German Democratic Republic before the fall of the Berlin Wall, he quickly found work in the dubbing studios of West Germany. He is considered one of Germany's most well-known and prolific voice actors.

Nathan's voice is familiar to German audiences for his consistent dubbing of international stars, most notably Johnny Depp and the late Paul Walker, including Walker's role as Brian O'Connor in the Fast & Furious film series. Beyond his film work, he has an extensive career narrating audiobooks, particularly the works of Stephen King, and has won multiple awards for his audio work, including the German Audiobook Award. He also tours Germany with live stage readings with his colleague, voice actor Simon Jäger.

In the realm of anime and animation, Nathan has lent his voice to a wide array of characters. His roles include the iconic role of Piccolo in the German dubs of the Dragon Ball Z series and subsequent films. He is also the German voice of Roy Mustang in Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mugen in Samurai Champloo, Tsume in Wolf's Rain, and Renji Abarai in the Bleach film series. His work also extends to video games, where he has voiced characters such as the Prince in the Prince of Persia video game series and Auron in Kingdom Hearts II.

He voiced Van Gansa in the 2021 anime film The Deer King. He is the German voice of Diego Vega, the titular character, in the anime series Kaiketsu Zorro. He also voiced Atsushi Henmi in the film Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade. His work includes the role of Troidal in the series Kikou Keisatsu Metal Jack. Furthermore, he voices Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter ego Batman in the animated film Batman: Gotham Knight.
