Description
Toshiyuki Aoshima is a human character who appears in the Oh My Goddess! series. He is a student at the Nekomi Institute of Technology, around twenty-one years old, and is known on campus as a playboy and something of a casanova. Aoshima is the cousin of the wealthy and sophisticated Sayoko Mishima, with whom he is often associated. In the anime adaptation, he is frequently seen driving a distinctive sports car, an Enzo Ferrari, which, like his personality, is flashy and attention-grabbing. His name, shared with other characters in the series, is a reference to a Japanese scale model company.
Aoshima’s primary role in the story is that of a rival and an antagonist to the protagonist, Keiichi Morisato. He becomes intensely and obsessively enamored with the goddess Belldandy, and much of his behavior is driven by a desire to claim her for himself. His infatuation begins after a failed attempt to seduce her, which only fuels his obsession with something he feels he cannot have.
