Description
Lady Jagara is a high-ranking noble and one of the main antagonists in the series. She is the older twin sister of Lady Hamona and the leader of the Lost City, a domain she rules with absolute authority. Her background is rooted in the feudal politics of the noble families, but her personal history is defined by an obsessive love for Lord Darcia the Third. When Darcia rejected her in favor of her younger twin, Jagara’s deep jealousy and bitterness consumed her. She never forgave Hamona, and this resentment ultimately drove her to have Hamona’s life support destroyed.

Jagara’s personality is marked by a calm but sadistic and cruel demeanor. Beneath a composed exterior lies a ruthless and vengeful nature. She is willing to sacrifice anyone to achieve her desires, including her own sister. Her primary motivation is to win Darcia’s love by creating an artificial paradise that she believes will lure him to her side. To this end, she undertakes an ancient alchemical ritual originally used by Lord Darcia the First, intending to open a Noble’s Paradise. She abducts Cheza, the Flower Maiden, to use as a key for this ceremony, and sends her soldiers to hunt down the wolves, who are drawn to Cheza and stand in her way.

Jagara’s role in the story is that of a powerful antagonist who consolidates the remaining noble factions under her rule. After the fall of the other noble houses, she gathers what she considers “ideal” people into a controlled utopia while relentlessly pursuing Cheza and eliminating the wolves. She wields considerable political and military power, commanding armies with a mere whim. On a personal level, she is a skilled sword fighter, capable of wounding both Hige and Kiba in combat. She also uses deception, such as mimicking her sister’s voice to torment Darcia.

Key relationships define her arc. Her unrequited love for Darcia is the driving force behind all her actions, and her rivalry with her sister Hamona fuels her cruelty. She sees Cheza merely as a tool, and the wolves as obstacles. Her interactions with Darcia are fraught with manipulation and desperation; when Darcia coldly tells her she is unworthy of paradise, she attacks him in a rage. In the final confrontation, after being wounded by Kiba, she briefly believes Darcia has finally accepted her, but he instead stabs her through the heart, killing her. With her death, the artificial paradise she built begins to crumble.

Jagara does not undergo a redemptive character development. She remains driven by obsession and envy until the very end. Her notable abilities include high-level command over military forces, knowledge of ancient alchemy, and considerable swordsmanship. She is also physically imposing, standing roughly 1.78 meters tall, with long, wavy light greenish-blonde hair and violet eyes. She typically wears gold-and-black armor and a mask that conceals part of her face, which she removes only when revealing her true appearance.
