Description
The Alligator Imagin is a monster character from the television program Kamen Rider Decade, serving as the primary antagonist within the World of Den-O arc. This creature is a unique type of Imagin, a being from the future that travels to the past to alter history, and it distinguishes itself through a cunning and ruthless approach to its mission. Standing 201 centimeters tall and weighing 142 kilograms, the Alligator Imagin draws its visual and thematic inspiration from the crocodile in the classic Aesop fable The Fox and the Crocodile, reflecting a nature that is both predatory and deceptive.

The core of the Alligator Imagin's personality is defined by its strategic cruelty and its role as a leader. Unlike many other Imagin that form a single contract with a human host, this Imagin employs a more elusive and manipulative tactic. It constantly changes its human host, possessing multiple individuals in succession to avoid being tracked and captured by the Kamen Riders. This method demonstrates a high degree of cunning, as the Alligator Imagin prioritizes its mission to destroy the World of Den-O above all else. It commands a group of subordinate monsters, including the Mole Imagin, sending them into the past to create chaos and disrupt the timeline on its behalf. Its motivations are straightforward but destructive: to erase the present by corrupting the past, showing no redeeming qualities or sympathetic traits.

Within the narrative of Kamen Rider Decade, the Alligator Imagin plays a pivotal antagonistic role in episodes 14 and 15. After arriving in the past on December 30, 2008, by using the memories of a young boy it had possessed, the Imagin proceeds to enact its scheme. It proves to be a formidable physical threat, capable of overpowering both the protagonist, Kamen Rider Decade, and the series' veteran hero, Kamen Rider Den-O. In a notable display of dominance, the Alligator Imagin disarms Kamen Rider Den-O and steals his primary weapon, the DenGasher, wielding it against its owners. This action forces the heroes to retreat and regroup, showcasing the Imagin's superior strength in their first encounter. Its key relationship is with the heroes, particularly Kamen Rider Decade, who must adapt his powers to defeat this unique foe. It also has a significant, though brief, encounter with the rival Kamen Rider Diend, whose summoned soldiers briefly hold the monster at bay.

The Alligator Imagin undergoes little personal development, as it is a monster of a villainous nature designed to be destroyed. Its narrative arc concludes when Decade, having acquired new abilities, teams up with the Imagin Momotaros (the spirit who powers Den-O). Together, they execute a powerful combination attack, the Decade Liner, which utilizes the power of Kuuga Gouram to finally destroy the Alligator Imagin. The character later reappears as a revived copy in the World of the Rider War, where it is created by the villain Super Apollo Geist and subsequently destroyed by Kamen Rider Decade Complete Form. It also makes a cameo appearance as a member of the evil army Dai-Shocker in the crossover film Super Hero Taisen, fighting against Kamen Rider Agito.

In terms of abilities, the Alligator Imagin is a powerhouse of physical combat. Its primary strengths lie in its tremendous brute force and its ability to emit destructive energy waves from its arms. In addition to these inherent powers, it is a proficient fighter, capable of skillfully using the DenGasher sword mode after stealing it from Kamen Rider Den-O. This combination of raw strength, energy projection, and tactical cunning, highlighted by its unusual method of possessing multiple hosts, makes the Alligator Imagin a memorable and challenging adversary in the Kamen Rider Decade series.
