TV-Series
Description
Murdock serves as the official cook for the Rising Volt Tacklers aboard the airship Brave Olivine. He possesses a tall, muscular build with dark skin, a buzz-cut hairstyle featuring four gray triangular sections on top shaped like a knife and fork, a short beard, and gray eyebrows. His attire includes a cream-colored button-up shirt adorned with light red X's on the collar, light red patterns at the bottom, and a light red pocket. He wears white shorts with blue stripes, a blue ankle wrap, light yellow closed sandals, and two red handkerchiefs—one around his neck and another on his arm. A multicolored watch adorns his right wrist.

Despite his imposing appearance, Murdock exhibits a friendly and gentle demeanor. He shows deep affection for his loved ones, particularly his partner Pokémon Rockruff and his niece Dot. This tendency to dote sometimes strains relationships, as Dot finds his excessive worrying and nagging about her dietary habits annoying. Murdock acknowledges this overbearing behavior, recognizing that elder relatives should moderate their concerns.

Before joining the Rising Volt Tacklers, Murdock operated a sweets shop with his friend Mitchell. Their partnership relied on Murdock's Milcery, which provided cream for their cakes—Murdock preferred strawberry flavor, while Mitchell favored matcha. The partnership dissolved when Milcery evolved into a Ruby Swirl Alcremie after interacting with a Strawberry Sweet, disappointing Mitchell who could no longer produce matcha-flavored treats. Murdock left with Alcremie after Mitchell hurt her feelings. He later joined the group to use his culinary skills to bring joy to others and brought Dot along when she joined.

As a member, Murdock participates in missions to protect Liko and uncover the mysteries of her pendant. Key moments include using Rockruff's sense of smell to track Liko's kidnapped Sprigatito, battling Explorers like Zirc and Onia to defend the Brave Olivine, and discreetly collaborating with Friede to encourage Dot to eat sweets by leaving treats in a cupboard. He reveals Dot's dual identity as the streamer Nidothing and the group's data collector.

Murdock reconciles with Mitchell during an encounter at a Battle Café in Motostoke. Through a baking showcase involving their Pokémon—Murdock's Alcremie and Rockruff versus Mitchell's Slurpuff and Vanilluxe—they resolve their past conflict and renew their friendship. His protective instincts surface when he opposes Dot's inclusion in a mission to Steelbound Town, fearing for her safety, though he later celebrates her independence after she makes a personal purchase there. He becomes emotional when Dot defeats her mother Franka's Lycanroc in battle.

After Rayquaza damages the Brave Olivine, Murdock takes part-time work at Patisserie Soapberry in Cortondo to fund repairs. There, he reunites with Liko, Roy, and Dot, facilitating their introduction to Gym Leader Katy and observing Liko's dessert-making trial and Terastalization battle.

Murdock's primary Pokémon include Rockruff, frequently used in battles with moves like Rock Tomb, which evolves into a Midday Form Lycanroc during his tenure at Katy's patisserie. Alcremie, evolved from Milcery, assists him in baking by providing cream and participated in his reconciliation battle with Mitchell. During temporary collaborations, he enlists wild Pokémon like Scyther, Caterpie, and Weedle to repair the Brave Olivine.
