Her own mother was an Earth-born woman, the daughter of the Mars Branch Director of the United Nations Mars Research Institute, which contributed to Lemrina being considered an illegitimate child within the imperial hierarchy.

She is keenly aware that her primary value to the empire lies in her ability to activate the Aldnoah Drive, a technology that powers much of the Vers military. While she despises being treated as a mere tool, she continues to fulfill her role activating the Aldnoah Drive because it gives her a sense of usefulness.
