Yelenika Lavrentyeva appears in the 25th Detective Conan film as a member of the Russian group Nado Unichtozit, whose name translates to "Must Destroy." This collective unites individuals seeking vengeance against the international hitman Plamya for the deaths of loved ones, positioning themselves as crusaders dedicated to hunting him. Yelenika's personal drive stems from the loss of her brother, Oleg Lavrentyev, killed by a bomb concealed within a tablet device; the explosion near Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department headquarters also threw Ai Haibara into the street, causing her minor injuries.
Driven by her brother's death, Yelenika joins Nado Unichtozit's operations in Japan. Their tactics include kidnapping police officer Kazunobu Chiba to lure Jinpei Matsuda, unaware of Matsuda's death years prior. They directly confront Plamya but impose limits on their actions, avoiding killings beyond their primary target. Their plan to trap Plamya involves posing as buyers for a bomb disguised as a wedding present, a scheme foiled when the Detective Boys retrieve the present for another character and narrowly escape the bomb trap.
During the film's climax, Yelenika confronts Plamya, intent on killing the hitman to avenge her brother. Conan Edogawa physically intervenes, embracing her. This interruption persuades Yelenika to abandon her quest for revenge.
Her character exhibits traits of the INTJ personality type, characterized by introversion and intuition. This type focuses on abstract ideas and concepts, possesses strong problem-solving abilities, and analyzes the root causes of phenomena. INTJs form independent judgments about right and wrong, not necessarily aligning with majority views. Her analytical pursuit of vengeance against Plamya and ultimate decision to reject violence align with these traits.
