Description
Eleonora Viltaria, who is often called Elen by her close friends and allies, is a central figure in the story as one of the seven Vanadis of the kingdom of Zhcted. As the ruler of the bustling territory of Leitmeritz, she holds the title of Wind Vanadis and commands great respect as a formidable warrior and leader. Physically, Elen is a young woman of average height with a striking appearance, characterized by her waist-length silver hair and vivid crimson eyes. At the start of the narrative, she is sixteen years old.

Background wise, Elen did not inherit her position through noble blood. Her early life was spent as a member of the Silver Gale mercenary group, where she was adopted by its late leader, Vissarion. This experience honed her combat skills from a very young age, and only two years before the story begins did she inherit the title of Vanadis from her predecessor. Her rise to power is a testament to her strength and capability rather than lineage, which shapes her practical and merit-based worldview.

In terms of personality, Elen is defined by her strong will and passionate nature. She is renowned for her bravery and a straightforward, hot-blooded enthusiasm for battle, leading her to be perceived as an impatient but highly effective commander. She operates on a personal creed that the strong must protect the weak, and she values the bonds of trust with her subordinates above all else, believing this connection is the true key to her victories. Despite her fearsome reputation on the battlefield, she possesses a compassionate and open-minded side as a ruler, genuinely caring for the people of Leitmeritz and listening to their concerns. Away from her duties, she shows a more playful and sometimes cunning side, often sneaking out of her castle in simple clothes to explore her domain. She is known to tease her close associates, particularly about their relationships, and has a notable fear of insects.

Elen role in the story is triggered when her army invades the neighboring kingdom of Brune. During the chaos of the Battle of Dinant, she captures a skilled archer named Tigrevurmud Vorn. Rather than treating him as a typical prisoner, she becomes fascinated by his archery skills and tenacity, keeping him as a guest in her palace. This act sets the stage for a powerful alliance when Tigre requests her aid to defend his homeland of Alsace from attack. Elen agrees, using the political excuse of preventing the conflict from spilling into her own territory, and commits her forces to his cause. She becomes one of the primary commanders of the Silver Meteor Army, a unified force she leads alongside Tigre.

Elen's key relationships are central to her character development. Her bond with Tigrevurmud Vorn evolves from captor and prisoner to trusted allies and eventually lovers. She deeply respects his skills and character, and as the story progresses, she develops romantic feelings for him, though she is initially somewhat awkward and prone to jealousy when other women show him attention. Her relationship with her aide-de-camp, Limlisha, is a strong and loyal one forged during their time together as mercenaries. Among her fellow Vanadis, she is closest to Alexandra Alshavin, known as Sasha, whom she considers her best friend, and she also shares a good relationship with Sofya Obertas. Conversely, her interactions are notably hostile with Ludmila Lourie, whom she constantly argues with, and Elizaveta Fomina, with whom her relationship is even worse.

Throughout the story, Elen undergoes significant development. Her initial arrogance and tendency toward reckless charges are tempered through her partnership with Tigre, from whom she learns greater tactical patience and strategy. Her personal journey is marked by profound hardship, including the traumatic experience of being captured and tortured by the villain Greast, an event that leaves deep mental scars from which she must be rescued and heal. She also endures the grief of losing her best friend, Sasha, to a terminal illness, a loss that profoundly affects her. These events deepen her character, moving her from a purely battle-hungry warrior to a more emotionally complex leader who understands personal sacrifice and love.

As a Vanadis, Elen wields a powerful Dragon Tool, or Viralt, named Arifar, a large longsword that grants her mastery over the element of wind. With this weapon, she can perform aerokinesis, creating everything from gentle breezes to devastating tornadoes and hurricanes capable of destroying armies and dragons. She can use the wind offensively to slice through armor and shields, defensively to create barriers, and even to levitate herself and fly. In addition to her magical abilities, Elen is an exceptionally skilled and masterful swordswoman, with her technique honed through years of real combat experience. She possesses superhuman stamina, reflexes, and durability, allowing her to fight for hours and survive powerful attacks. She is also a capable and respected strategist and field commander, known for her clever tactics, such as using cavalry flanking maneuvers to overcome numerically superior forces.
