Description
Michitaka is a supporting character in Log Horizon. In the real world, he was a section chief salaryman named Michitaka Oikawa. In the game world of Elder Tale, he is a Human with the primary class of Monk and the subclass of Blacksmith. He serves as the guild master of Marine Organization, the largest production guild on the Yamato server, which boasts over 2,500 members. Due to his combat prowess and crafting skills, he earned the nickname Strong Arm.

His personality is described as strong and cheerful, with a boisterous and straightforward manner. He is a large, muscular man with short brown hair and brown eyes. His primary motivation is to support the economic infrastructure of Akiba through his guild's production capabilities, and he takes great pride in his work as a blacksmith and guild leader.

Politically, Michitaka is a member of the Round Table Alliance, the governing council of Akiba. He represents the interests of the production guilds and was elected to serve as a vice-chairman. He often works closely with key figures such as Shiroe, Crusty, Roderick, and Calasin. His role in the story involves handling negotiations and attending important diplomatic events, such as the Lords' Conference invited by the Eastal League of Free Cities. Notably, he was selected for this duty after losing a game of rock-paper-scissors to Roderick and Calasin, despite his personal desire to stay behind and work on a project called the Ocypete.

Throughout the series, Michitaka remains a reliable and industrious figure, focusing on the practical needs of the adventurer community. He does not undergo major personal transformation but consistently fulfills his responsibilities as a guild master and council member. His abilities as a Monk make him a capable combatant, though he is most valued for his blacksmithing expertise and his leadership of the largest production guild in the server.
