TV-Series
Description
Indicus, who was known by the nickname Kuina during her earlier days as an adventurer, is a veteran Elf Sorcerer of the Elder Tale world with the Elder Maid subclass. She first gained prominence as a core strategist within the Debauchery Tea Party, an informal but legendary group of twenty-seven level ninety players who successfully completed raids that even organized guilds could not. During that period she worked closely with other exceptional members such as Kanami, Shiroe, and KR, and her guidance was essential to the Tea Party’s string of unprecedented achievements.
Her personality is defined by a cold, calculating, and manipulative nature. Indicus operates as a behind-the-scenes puppet master rather than a visible leader, acting as the grey cardinal of whatever organization she belongs to. She has little genuine concern for the common citizens of Minami and tends to view others primarily as tools to be exploited in pursuit of her ambitions. While she can appear composed and professional, underneath she harbors deep resentment and an intense desire for control, traits that became more pronounced after the Tea Party’s dissolution.
Indicus’s primary motivation has always been to be at the top of a powerful group. During the Tea Party era, she was fanatically dedicated to making it the strongest force on the Yamato server, and she reveled in the jealousy the group attracted from other players. When leader Kanami announced her departure and other members began leaving the game, Indicus suffered a severe emotional breakdown. Her obsession with that lost glory turned into bitterness, and she redirected her ambition toward building a new power base in the aftermath of the Catastrophe.
In the present storyline, Indicus is the second seat of the Ten-Seat Council and the true operational leader of Plant Hwyaden, the guild that rules the city of Minami. Though Nureha holds the title of guild leader, Indicus is the one who manages the guild’s daily affairs, finances, and internal discipline, ensuring that even high-level members follow her directives. The power dynamic between the two is tenuous, with Indicus often clashing with Nureha despite maintaining a surface-level alliance. This arrangement effectively makes Indicus the hidden antagonist shaping Minami’s aggressive policies.
Her relationships with former Debauchery Tea Party comrades are complex. Shiroe, now the strategist of the Round Table Alliance in Akiba, represents a contrasting philosophy of community building, and the two are positioned as ideological opponents. KR and Kazuhiko, fellow former members who joined Plant Hwyaden alongside her, originally stayed to help manage the fallout from her breakdown; they remain in her orbit but are often burdened by her ruthlessness. Many other former Tea Party members have distanced themselves from her.
Over the course of the story, Indicus develops from a passionate but devoted raid strategist into a deeply embittered and authoritarian figure. The disbandment of the Tea Party shattered her sense of purpose, and rather than moving on, she transformed that pain into a drive for domination. Her role in Plant Hwyaden shows the full extent of that transformation, as she uses manipulation and fear to maintain control, standing as a dark mirror to the cooperative ideals pursued by Shiroe and the Round Table Alliance.
In terms of abilities, Indicus is a high-level Sorcerer with formidable magical power, but her true strength lies in her strategic mind and her skill at reading and exploiting people. She is capable of careful long-term planning, financial manipulation, and psychological warfare. Her in-game level of ninety and her extensive experience with high-difficulty raids make her a dangerous opponent, but it is her cunning as an organizational mastermind that makes her one of the most influential and threatening figures in the post-Catastrophe world of Elder Tale.
