Sayaka Ōhara is a Japanese voice actor and narrator born on December 6, 1975, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and is affiliated with Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. She was inspired to pursue this career during her school years, influenced by her younger brother who would let her listen to his drama CDs. During her six years in her middle and high school drama club, she developed a passion for performance, later studying at Aoyama Gakuin University before entering the Haikyo Voice Actors Studio as an 11th-generation student in 1997. Her debut role came in 1998 as Yuri Shirai in the long-running series Case Closed.

Ōhara is known for her mezzo-soprano voice, frequently portraying composed and mature women, though her range also includes boys, girls, and eccentric characters. Her career features many prominent and iconic roles. She is widely recognized as Erza Scarlet in Fairy Tail, Alicia Florence in Aria, Yūko Ichihara in xxxHolic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Layla Hamilton in Kaleido Star, Milly Ashford in Code Geass, and Beatrice in Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Her other significant anime work includes Irisviel in Fate/Zero, Michiru Kaioh / Sailor Neptune in Sailor Moon Crystal, Urutori in Utawarerumono, Bel Peol in Shakugan no Shana, and Selene McGriff in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer. In video games, her notable roles include Margaret in Persona 4, Hilda Rambling in Tales of Rebirth, and Servilia in Valkyria Chronicles. Her work also extends to recent series, with roles such as Xing Hai in Thunderbolt Fantasy: Tōriken Yūki 4 and L'oreille in Farmagia.

Her talent has been recognized with a Best Supporting Actress award at the 7th Seiyu Awards in 2013. Beyond character work, Ōhara is a prolific narrator, lending her voice to television programs, commercials, and a significant portion of train station announcements in the Kanto region. She has also been a long-standing radio personality, hosting Bayfm's NOW HITS STREET for over two decades. She is known for her proficiency in English, holding a pre-1st grade level in the Eiken test, and possesses a Kyoto certification 2nd grade, a kimono dressing instructor certification, and skill in playing the cello.
