TV-Series
Description
Cumpa Rusita is a supporting character who serves as a Colonel in the Research Department of the Capital Guard. His original name is Piani Kaluta, and he was originally from the Venus Sphere. Disillusioned by what he perceived as the stagnant and lifeless精神状态 of humanity in space, he defected from Venus to the Moon colony of Towasanga and eventually made his way to Earth.
In his role on Earth, Rusita operates as a shadowy figure within the Capital Territory's military hierarchy. While publicly he is an officer in the Capital Guard responsible for monitoring compliance with taboos and reporting violations to the脐带教, he is secretly the mastermind behind the formation of the Capital Army, a more aggressive military force intended to replace the insufficient Capital Guard. He is driven by a grand and cynical philosophy: he believes that humanity has become weak and needs the crucible of war to reignite its competitive spirit, foster innovation, and ensure its continued survival and evolution. To this end, he covertly encourages and enables various factions on Earth, including the Capital Territory and Ameria, to break long-standing prohibitions by developing and using advanced weaponry based on designs from the "Hermes' Rose" blueprints.
Throughout the story, Rusita's motivations remain largely hidden from the other characters, who see him as a loyal, if somewhat detached, officer. His primary goal is to instigate conflict between Earth's nations, believing that the resulting斗争 will harden humanity. He is not aligned with any single nation's interest but instead manipulates events on a global scale to promote warfare. This ultimately leads to his role as a key instigator of the escalation that drives the plot of the series, as his machinations help trigger a larger war involving the Earth, the Moon, and other space colonies.
Cumpa Rusita maintains key relationships based on manipulation and shared authority. He works alongside figures like Wilmit Zenam, Bellri's mother, and has interactions with the spiritual leader Gel Trimedestus Nug, but his true allegiance is to his own scheme. He is the unseen hand behind the Capital Army, holding more real power than its nominal commander, General Jugan. A significant revelation occurs when it is discovered that Rusita was the individual who brought the young Bellri Zenam and Aida Surugan to Earth, connecting him directly to the protagonists' past.
In terms of personal development, Rusita remains largely static in his ideology, committed to his belief that war is necessary for humanity's advancement. He is a planner and an observer rather than a frontline soldier. His notable abilities are not combative but rather strategic and political; he excels at long-term deception, intelligence gathering, and manipulating powerful organizations from behind the scenes. He is the architect of the Capital Army's creation and the driving force behind the proliferation of mobile suit technology on Earth, demonstrating a keen ability to orchestrate complex events to achieve his desired outcome of widespread war. His end comes during the final battle at the Guiana Highlands, where he is observing the conflict and is accidentally knocked off a cliff into a ravine, becoming a casualty of the very war he helped create.
