Description
Kōta Asano is a supporting character in the anime Jinsei - Life Consulting. He is a third-year student at Nine Academy, enrolled in class 3-3, and serves as the president of the First Newspaper Club. Physically, he is a handsome young man with short gray hair and red eyes.

Asano is defined by his inflated sense of pride and a pretentious, sarcastic manner of speech. Despite his self-assured demeanor, he is generally inept and widely disliked by his peers. He frequently attempts to outdo the Second Newspaper Club, which runs the school’s life counseling advice column. His primary motivation is to force the second club’s president, Ayaka Nikaidō, into joining his own club, driven by a one-sided romantic interest in her. This goal leads him to create a rival advice section of his own, which he justifies as borrowing rather than copying ideas. Asano also exhibits voyeuristic tendencies, often taking photographs of girls from questionable angles and devising elaborate schemes in pursuit of his own amusement, much to the exasperation of those around him.

In the story, Asano acts as a recurring antagonist to the Second Newspaper Club and its protagonist, Yūki Akamatsu. His schemes provide lighthearted conflict and comic relief, as his plans frequently backfire or are met with disdain from his own club members. His key relationships include his rivalry with Ayaka Nikaidō and his interactions with his subordinates in the First Newspaper Club, such as the sharp-tongued Shino and the busty Kumi, who openly dislike him. Asano’s development is minimal; he remains a persistent but ineffective nuisance throughout the series, never truly reforming or gaining the recognition he craves. His notable abilities lie in his knack for generating ambitious, if poorly executed, plans and his skill at navigating bureaucratic loopholes within the school’s club system.
