Description
Zolder Grave, the reincarnation of the previous Core Light Bearer Yuuki Momose, carries the memories of the original White King from another world. A dark-skinned man of extremely muscular build, he has brown hair, green eyes, and a butterfly-shaped marking on his back, and is seldom seen without his gloves.
He is the former chief of the humans in their war against the Mazoku, a powerful card battler they feared, before his position was taken by Kazan. Extremely hot-blooded and always eager for a fight, he serves as captain of the spacecraft Centurion of Fighting Spirit, a ship to which he is deeply devoted. He continually searches for new crewmates and is often found training with heavy weights, a habit that earned him the nickname "Dumbbell Man" from Plym.
After researching dreams of Dan Bashin, Zolder called Dan into the future to become his Battle Spirits teacher. He reignited Dan's fighting spirit through a card battle and gifted him the card "The SunDragonDeity Rising-Apollodragon." He later traveled aboard the Sophia spacecraft, where he invited Barone to join his crew.
While traveling to Oct with Barone, he met Flora, the reincarnation of Kajitsu—Yuuki Momose's sister, the Green Princess. Their first encounter turned contentious when Zolder accidentally ate a flower she intended as a gift, leading to a battle. Despite a mutual aversion to their past-life connection, they discovered they used identical cards and strategies. After Zolder won their match, Flora asked him to train her and eventually began calling him "Brother," remaining with him afterwards.
Kazan later warned them of conflict with Mazoku also seeking the 12 Zodiac X-rares. After Eolus stole one of these X-rares, Zolder challenged Barone for another but lost the match.
Zolder Grave eventually regained his memories as Yuuki Momose, later advising Dan with Yuuki's own words. His life was marked by war, and a happy ending with Flora was unlikely, potentially due to their differing lifespans or separate deaths.
Centuries later, in the timeline of Battle Spirits Mirage, Zolder Grave is deceased. He is listed among the series' characters with the tags "Battle Gamer," "Dark-skinned," "Gloves," and "Scar," and is recognized as a previous reincarnation in the cycle that includes the White King and Yuuki Momose, with Gallet being his successor rather than another reincarnation.
