Description
Mouri Motonari, the young daimyo of the Chugoku region, is known as the Great Motonari for his exceptional tactical mind. He is a calm and cold leader who views his subordinates as disposable tools, willing to sacrifice them without hesitation to achieve victory. Failure is unacceptable to him, as he holds great pride in his intelligence. Unlike many other warlords, he does not actively seek to conquer neighboring provinces or to obtain the Tenka, instead pursuing his own calculated ambitions. In Sengoku Basara: End of Judgement, he serves as a supporting figure, a scheming lord who manipulates events from behind the scenes. His primary motivation is victory through strategy rather than brute force, and he carefully balances his actions to further his own ends. Key relationships include a rivalry with Chosokabe Motochika and occasional alliances with figures such as Mitsunari Ishida. His character remains consistently cold and calculating, showing little emotional development. In combat, he wields two semi‑circular blades that can be combined into a hula‑hoop‑like weapon, which he spins around himself to slash enemies. He is also a master of trapping foes with green light circles and is skilled in naval warfare and the use of explosives.
