Description
Minako Aino is the civilian identity of Sailor Venus, appearing in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal as one of the primary Sailor Guardians. She was the first Sailor Guardian to awaken her powers, which happened approximately one year before Usagi Tsukino became Sailor Moon. During that time, she operated alone under the alias Sailor V, guided by the white cat Artemis, studying enemies and awaiting the awakening of the other guardians. Her solo mission included acting as a decoy to draw the attention of the Dark Kingdom away from the true Moon Princess, a role she initially concealed from her teammates.
As Sailor Venus, Minako is the designated leader of the Inner Sailor Guardians, a position she held during the Silver Millennium and continues to hold in the present.
