Maëlys Ricordeau is a French actress and voice artist, known for her work in theatre, television, and the dubbing of Japanese animated series. Born on September 7, 1980, in Versailles, France, she developed an early interest in acting, taking theatre classes during her schooling in the Yvelines department. She pursued this passion by moving to Paris at eighteen, where she studied performing arts at the University of Paris Nanterre, earning a bachelor's degree with a theatre option. Her formal training continued at the conservatories of the 15th and 5th arrondissements in Paris.
In 2004, Ricordeau co-founded the theatre company Das Plateau with Jacques Albert, Céleste Germe, and Jacob Stambach. The company focuses on creating innovative stage productions that blend theatre, music, and dance. With Das Plateau, she has appeared in numerous plays, including a noted adaptation of Cendrillon where she played the title role, and has frequently collaborated with director Céleste Germe on productions such as Poings and Le Petit Chaperon rouge.
Alongside her stage career, Ricordeau has built a substantial career in dubbing, providing the French voices for characters in many popular anime series.
