Description
Lisa is a central character in the film Mazinger Z: Infinity, first appearing as a mysterious young woman discovered inside the colossal robot Infinity, which is unearthed beneath Mount Fuji. She is not a human but a gynoid artificial intelligence designated LISA, an acronym for Large Intelligence System Agent. Her body is approximately ninety-one percent organic, granting her humanlike appearance and the capacity to experience genuine emotions. She functions as Infinity's main control unit and serves as an information storage and interface system, able to communicate directly with the giant machine.

Her personality is marked by intelligence, curiosity, and a sense of wonder as she encounters the world outside the sealed robot for the first time. She is enthusiastic about discovering what life and humanity are about, and she often questions whether the power of Infinity should be used to protect the existing world or to reshape it entirely. This uncertainty drives much of her internal conflict. She is deeply attached to those who show her kindness, especially Koji Kabuto, the pilot of Mazinger Z, who becomes her primary companion and protector.

Her motivation is centered on understanding the purpose of Infinity and her own existence. When the villain Dr. Hell steals Infinity and attempts to use its ultimate ability, the Goragon, to swap the universe with a lifeless alternate dimension, Lisa resolves to stop him. She reveals that the Goragon can exchange universes through forced quantum overlapping. To counter this threat, she uses herself as a key, transmuting photonic energy into matter to grant Mazinger Z power equal to Infinity's, enabling Koji to destroy the robot and foil Dr. Hell's plan. This act depletes her physical form, and she disappears, but she reassures Koji that they will meet again.

In terms of relationships, she forms a strong bond with Koji, who treats her with warmth and protects her throughout the story. She also interacts with Sayaka Yumi, the director of the Photon Research Institute, and Tetsuya Tsurugi, the pilot of Great Mazinger. In an alternate dimension glimpsed during the climax, Koji sees a reality where Lisa is the daughter of himself and Sayaka, suggesting a deep emotional connection that transcends the film's main timeline. After the battle, Koji and Sayaka marry, and they are later seen walking with a young girl named Lisa, implying that she has been reborn or reincarnated into a true human life.

Her character develops from a naive and curious AI into a selfless being who willingly sacrifices her existence to save the world. She learns to trust others and finds purpose beyond her programmed function. Her notable abilities include interfacing directly with Infinity's systems, storing vast amounts of data, and, with Koji's aid, channeling photonic energy to create matter. She is also able to manifest her consciousness inside Infinity's core, acting as a guide to those who enter. Ultimately, her journey is one of self-discovery and redemption, from a machine of immense power to a person who chooses love and sacrifice over survival.
