Joy Saltarelli is an Italian voice actor, renowned for her extensive work dubbing foreign productions into Italian. She was born in Rome in 1987 and grew up immersed in the world of dubbing, as her family includes several professionals in the field, such as her mother, Emanuela Fantini, a dubbing assistant. Her career began at the exceptionally young age of five when she first entered a dubbing room to voice the Olsen twins in the Italian version of the series Full House. She began working full-time as a voice actor at seventeen.

Saltarelli has provided the Italian voice for a vast array of anime characters across numerous popular series. She voices the protagonist Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica and its compilation films. In the Sailor Moon franchise, she is the voice of Minako Aino, also known as Sailor Venus, in iterations such as Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal and the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal films. She has a significant presence in the Pretty Cure franchise, voicing Tsubomi Hanasaki, the protagonist Cure Blossom, in Heartcatch Precure! and its related films, as well as Mai Mishou, also known as Cure Egret and Cure Windy, in Futari wa Precure Splash Star. Her other notable anime roles include Wendy Marvell in Fairy Tail, Akako Onigashima in Komi Can't Communicate, Ryoko Naoe in Sirius the Jaeger, Eva Wei in Oban Star-Racers, Ayumu Mutou in Japan Sinks: 2020, Kaguya Sumeragi in Code Geass, and Chiyo Kurihara in Prison School. She also voiced the character Leticia in the animated film Lupin III: The First.

In addition to her work in anime, Saltarelli is the regular Italian voice for many prominent actresses in live-action film and television. Her most notable recurring association is with Jennifer Lawrence, whom she has dubbed in all films of The Hunger Games saga, as well as in other works like Causeway and House at the End of the Street. She is also the official Italian voice for actresses such as Ana de Armas, Selena Gomez, Lily Collins, Mia Wasikowska, Emma Mackey, and Josephine Langford, among many others. In the television series Orphan Black, she voiced the numerous clones all played by actress Tatiana Maslany, a challenging role she later compared to dubbing Noomi Rapace's seven distinct characters in the film Seven Sisters.

Her talent has been recognized with industry awards. In 2009, she won the Female Voice of an Animated Cartoon award at the Gran Galà del Doppiaggio held at Romics. She later received the award for Best Young Voice of a Heroine at the Le voci del Cinema festival in 2016. Saltarelli has described voicing Sailor Venus as a particularly significant achievement, having grown up watching the series as a fan.
