Description
Camellia Travis, known as Kudou Fuyuka in the original Japanese version, is a character who joins the Inazuma Japan national team as a manager during the team's preparations for the Football Frontier International tournament. Her real name is Camellia Green, reflecting her biological lineage, but she is the adopted daughter of the team's coach, Percival Travis. She shares a significant history with the team's captain, Mark Evans, as the two were close childhood friends during their second year of primary school before she moved away. Mark affectionately calls her by nicknames such as Cammy-Cammy or Camilou.

Camellia is characterized by her calm, gentle, and exceptionally caring personality. She often speaks with a soft tone and naturally assumes a maternal role within Inazuma Japan. She demonstrates this through her meticulous organizational skills, such as creating personalized, labeled water bottles and towels for each team member, and even finding creative ways to ensure that picky eaters like Hurley Kane consume their vegetables, such as turning carrots into jelly. Despite her sweet and kind nature, she is typically a quiet person who speaks less frequently than others.

Her primary motivation throughout her story arc is to support the team and help the players overcome their challenges. As a manager, she takes her duties seriously, aiming to be as effective as possible in her role. Her deep-seated care for Mark Evans is a constant driver of her actions, as she worries about his well-being and mental state, especially when he is struggling to develop new techniques or when the team is facing a difficult match. When the team was losing hope during a match against The Empire, she encouraged them not to give up, which helped restore their confidence.

Camellia's central role in the story is deeply tied to her mysterious past. She appears in Raimon Town as the daughter of the new coach, but it is later revealed that she has no memory of her childhood with Mark. Her backstory is tragic; her biological parents died in a traffic accident when she was young. The trauma was so severe that she stopped eating and drinking, putting her life in danger. To save her, a hypnotherapy was used to erase her painful memories, and Coach Travis adopted her, raising her as his own daughter. Her key relationships are with her adoptive father, who cares for her deeply, and with Mark, whose presence in her life unknowingly triggers the gradual return of her suppressed memories. The other managers, Aki and Haruna, also help her learn the ropes when she first joins the team.

Camellia undergoes significant development when her memories resurface during the FFI arc. After seeing Mark and experiencing flashbacks, she collapses and falls into a comatose state. While her father insists on another hypnotherapy session to erase her memories again to protect her from the pain, she ultimately makes the mature decision to refuse. She declares that she wants to keep both the sad memories and the happy ones, as they are all part of her and her bonds with her true friends and Mark. This decision marks her growth from a sheltered girl living with a fabricated past to a strong individual who chooses to face reality.

Regarding notable abilities, Camellia possesses a unique talent for understanding the complex, cryptic notes written by Mark Evans's grandfather, David Evans. She is able to read these notes and provide Mark with valuable hints, a skill she unknowingly acquired because her biological father would read the notebook aloud to her when she was a child. In the video game adaptations of the series, she is depicted as a playable secret character who can use powerful ice-based shooting techniques such as Snow Angel and Legendary Wolf. In the sequel series Inazuma Eleven GO, she has grown up to work as a nurse at Inazuma Hospital, where she continues to care for others, including injured football players.
