Miko is the representative and ruler of the Werebeast race, governing the Eastern Union. She lost her true name during the formation of her country when it was staked as a wager, so her current name is customarily written in brackets. She appears as a shrine maiden with golden hair, golden eyes, fox-like ears, and two tails, reflecting her Werebeast heritage. Initially, she held a condescending view of Imanity, the race of the siblings Sora and Shiro. However, after forming a truce with Sora and joining the Elchea Federation, she began to develop faith in the siblings. Believing that Izuna and Ino could learn from Sora and Shiro, she ordered them to follow and observe the pair. Miko is credited with devising a strategically unbeatable game for the Eastern Union when it originally had no territory on the continent, which allowed the nation to expand greatly. She also serves as a vessel for the Old Deus Holou, who can manifest through her body. Her role in the story is that of a leader who transitions from an antagonist-like figure to a key ally, contributing her race's strength and insight to the larger federation.
