Description
Moco is the human avatar of the Kiltgang known as Malkin and a core member of the Planetary Gears, the alien faction that serves as the primary antagonistic force in the story. She is one of the two main leaders of the group, acting alongside her close partner Amara. Moco is classified as a type 2 Kill-T-Gang, meaning her true form is a giant energy-based entity that feeds on human orgone energy. Her human appearance is that of a young woman with shoulder-length pink hair and pink eyes.
Moco was originally created as a Designer's Child, a genetically engineered artificial human body designed to house a Kill-T-Gang consciousness. She spent much of her early childhood overseas in a research facility alongside Amara. When she was eight years old, she was summoned to Japan by Masaki Kube, the president of Macbeth Enterprises, the corporation supporting the Planetary Gears. During a test of the Machine Goodfellow system, she awakened as a full member of the Planetary Gears, gaining access to her true abilities.
In terms of personality, Moco is calm, calculating, and highly loyal to the goals of the Planetary Gears. She works in close coordination with Amara, and the two are rarely seen apart. She possesses a capable hacking skill set, though it is not as advanced as that of Akari Yomatsuri. Her hacking abilities allow her to manipulate surveillance footage and perform other electronic intrusions. As a Kill-T-Gang, she also has the ability to telepathically share memories and communicate through a kiss, a common trait among her kind.
Her role in the story is that of a persistent antagonist. She is among the first enemies Daichi Manatsu faces after he becomes the pilot of the Earth Engine Impacter. Throughout the series, she and Amara work to awaken other Planetary Gear members and to oppose the Midsummer's Knights. She operates her true form, Malkin, in combat, and also pilots a Machine Goodfellow for ground-based engagements.
Moco's development is relatively static; she remains a dedicated foe who does not waver in her allegiance to the Planetary Gears' mission. Her key relationship is with Amara, with whom she shares a deep bond forged from their shared history as Designer's Children and co-leaders. She also has a direct adversarial relationship with Daichi and the other members of the Midsummer's Knights.
Her notable abilities include piloting the Kiltgang Malkin, hacking computer systems, and using the telepathic communication unique to the Kill-T-Gang. As an avatar of a Kiltgang, her true form is a massive, powerful entity that can drain life energy from humans simply by being near them.
