Description
Princesa do Planeta do Fogo, also called Kakyuu, is a supporting character in the anime Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, the final season of the Sailor Moon television series. She is introduced as the princess of the planet Kinmoku, a world beyond the solar system whose name is tied to the fragrant olive flower. This floral motif appears throughout her design, and her own name carries the meaning of fireball. In the anime she appears with long red-orange hair and a deep red gown with a blue bodice, puffed sleeves, a dark crown and a flower-like blue ribbon around her neck.
Before the story begins, Kinmoku is invaded and destroyed by Sailor Galaxia, forcing Kakyuu to flee. She travels to Earth and hides inside an incense burner that is cared for by ChibiChibi, the small girl who accompanies Sailor Moon during this season. Because of the danger, Kakyuu cannot step forward openly, so she remains hidden even while the three Sailor Starlights, her loyal guardians, search for her across Earth disguised as the idol group the Three Lights. Her concealment is not born of fear alone: she is biding her time, recovering from her losses and waiting for the right moment to reveal herself and pursue the being known as the Light of Hope, whom she believes can stand against Galaxia.
In terms of personality, Kakyuu is calm, dignified and patient. She endures the destruction of her home and the loss of her people without becoming bitter, and she treats even her moments of fear as something to set aside for the sake of others. She is deeply loyal to the Starlights and trusting of Sailor Moon and her friends, and her presence brings a sense of direction to the group. Her main motivation is protective: she wants to keep the Sailor Starlights safe, to help Earth avoid the fate of Kinmoku, and to ensure that the Light of Hope reaches those who need it.
