Calaveras, also known as Avery in some English adaptations, is a character from the Sailor Moon R anime and a member of the Black Moon Clan. She is the second oldest of the four Ayakashi Sisters, often referred to as the Specter Sisters, and serves as a counterpart to Sailor Venus. Her name is derived from the mineral calaverite.
In the anime, Calaveras is portrayed as a petty, arrogant, and vain individual who holds a disdainful view of humanity. She is particularly known for relentlessly teasing her older sister Petz, often making comments about her age and looks, which highlights a competitive and at times cruel dynamic between them.
