Description
Konoha is the physical manifestation of the Snake of Awakening Eyes, inhabiting a body that was originally designed by Haruka Kokonose. Haruka was a boy with a terminal illness who created an idealized strong avatar named Konoha for a video game. When faced with his own death, an unintentional wish to be reborn in a strong, healthy body caused the Snake of Awakening Eyes to construct that game character as a real physical form. The snake's consciousness, calling itself Konoha, emerged in the real world suffering from amnesia, while the spirit of the original Haruka remained trapped within the Kagerou Daze.

He is introduced as a mysterious young man being taken in by Kenjirou Tateyama, the uncle of Hiyori Asahina. It is here that he first meets Hibiya Amamiya and Hiyori. He eventually joins the Mekakushi Dan as its ninth member. His personality is notably naive and childlike. He is friendly and easygoing, often doing things at his own pace without much concern for the world around him. Despite this absent-mindedness, he has a strong sense of curiosity and is happy to engage in simple activities like playing baseball with local children. His motivations are simple and grounded in the present moment, as he does not actively seek to recover his lost memories or understand his true origin.

His role in the story is central to the narrative of Haruka's wish and the conflict between a human host and the supernatural snake inhabiting his body. Within the Mekakushi Dan, he serves as a physically formidable member, possessing incredible strength and durability. His very existence highlights the tragic and literal way in which Haruka's dying wish was misinterpreted by the snake.

The most significant relationship in Konoha's life is his connection to the memory of Haruka Kokonose. Through this connection, he is also deeply tied to Takane Enomoto, Haruka's closest friend, who sees the face of her lost companion in Konoha. This creates a complex bond of recognition, loss, and longing. His interactions with the other members of the Mekakushi Dan, particularly the younger members, define his daily life. The core of his character development revolves around the duality of his identity. In different timelines or conclusions to the story, the nature of this relationship shifts. In some instances, Konoha remains a separate entity who has absorbed some of Haruka's traits and memories. In others, the conflict is resolved when Haruka's spirit reasserts itself over the snake's consciousness, allowing him to reclaim his body and reunite with Takane.

Konoha's notable abilities are a direct result of being the Snake of Awakening Eyes. He possesses a perfect and almost indestructible body. He has superhuman strength, capable of shattering concrete and delivering devastating blows. He has incredible speed and agility, being able to scale the sides of tall buildings in a single leap. He also possesses high endurance and the ability to rapidly regenerate from injuries, embodying the absolute freedom from the sickness and fragility that plagued Haruka's original body.
