TV-Series
Description
Kochou Yoshida is a student at Tamo Agriculture and Forestry High School, where she is enrolled in the Animal Husbandry department. She comes from a wealthy family with a strong background in large-scale industrial agriculture, a heritage she takes great pride in. As one of the Four Heavenly Farmers, a group of elite agricultural students, she is known by the title Boin Yoshida, a nickname that stems from her prominent physical appearance. Kochou possesses a snobbish and self-assured personality, often holding herself in high regard and referring to others as vulgarians. She is a staunch advocate for commercial and industrial farming methods, which places her in a frequent and comedic rivalry with Kei Kamatori, who champions organic agriculture. Despite her outward arrogance, Kochou is easily flustered and secretly harbors romantic feelings for Kei, though she vehemently denies this to others. Her role in the story is primarily as a supporting character who provides comic relief through her boastful declarations and her clashes with Kei over farming philosophies, as well as through her sensitivity to jokes about her figure. Over the course of the series, she is shown to be capable and knowledgeable in animal husbandry, and she experiences subtle development when she eventually accompanies Kei to a professional seminar abroad, indicating a willingness to step beyond her usual confrontational stance. Her interactions with the main cast, particularly Kousaku Hata, who often teases her, highlight both her pride and her vulnerability.
