Description
Moral is a former professor at Facultas Academy and the primary antagonist of the first season of Hamatora. He is a serial killer who specifically targets Minimum Holders, the individuals born with supernatural abilities known as Minimums. Physically, Moral is a tall man with very long gray hair and purple eyes. His demeanor is cold, calculating, and devoid of empathy; he is described as psychotic, apathetic, and dangerously intelligent, traits that make him a formidable and unsettling adversary.

Moral’s central motivation is a twisted desire to create equality in the world. He believes that if everyone possesses a Minimum, social hierarchies based on ability will dissolve. To achieve this, he murders Minimum Holders and extracts their brains to produce a substance he calls essence. Using this essence, he can artificially grant Minimums to non‑holders, creating twenty‑four artificial Minimum Holders from the brain of a single natural one. Beneath this ideological drive, however, lies a personal obsession with the protagonist, Nice. Moral views Nice as the accumulated wisdom of humanity and believes that Nice suffers from being the top student at Facultas—isolated and without peers. Moral’s true, albeit warped, goal is to rescue Nice from this perceived solitude.

In the story, Moral initially operates in the shadows, murdering Minimum Holders and using the essence to create chaos. He kills Nice’s close friend Art and then assumes Art’s identity in order to manipulate the investigation and dismiss the Hamatora agency from the case. He orchestrates a public riot intended to expose the existence of Minimum Holders, which ignites widespread social conflict between non‑holders and holders. His actions force Nice to confront him directly, leading to a final battle aboard a ship from which Moral plans to launch terrorist attacks. Although Nice defeats him in combat, Moral is ultimately shot and killed by Art, who had survived the earlier attack and reveals a regeneration Minimum.

Moral’s relationships are defined by manipulation and opposition. His enmity with Nice forms the core conflict of the first season. He also interacts with Art, whom he kills and impersonates, and with the other members of the Hamatora group as obstacles to his plan. He shows no genuine loyalty or connection to anyone; people are merely tools or targets.

Character‑wise, Moral does not undergo personal growth or redemption. He remains a steadfast villain driven by his own messianic logic until his death. In terms of abilities, Moral does not appear to possess a natural Minimum himself. His power lies in his intellect, his knowledge of the Minimum system, and his capacity to create artificial Minimums through his essence procedure. He is a master of deceit and strategic planning, using his intelligence to outmaneuver his enemies and further his goal of remaking society.
