Description
Minami Ohsawa is a teacher at Fujou High School and serves as the faculty advisor for the Game Creation Club, which operates on a temporary basis. She is a young woman of average height with blue hair and gray eyes, often seen wearing a tracksuit that holds sentimental value as a memento from a former student whose name she no longer remembers. Her own name is derived from Minami-Ōsawa Station, consistent with the naming pattern of many characters in the series.

Her defining personality trait is her extreme lethargy. Minami is a notorious heavy sleeper who can be found napping in the clubroom almost anytime, including during her own classes. She shows minimal interest or effort in club activities, rarely contributing to their operations or helping them win in competitions. The other club members are well aware of her ignorance regarding daily school events and her tendency to sleep through most responsibilities. Despite this outward apathy, she does carry out her duties as a teacher properly when necessary, suggesting a basic level of competence beneath her laziness.

Minami enthusiastically claims the self-proclaimed element of "Lightning," a label she justifies solely by carrying a stun gun with her at all times. Although the device is powerful, she has used it only a handful of times, mostly early in the series. She also possesses a rare "perfect mode" that allows her to stay awake and alert for several consecutive hours, but this ability can be activated only once per week, further underscoring her fundamental drowsiness.

Her motivations are minimal; she does not actively pursue goals or seek improvement for the club. She maintains her advisory position out of a sense of minimal obligation rather than passion. The most notable glimpse into her personal history involves a former student named Noborito, whose graduation left her with the jersey she still wears as a sign of respect, even after forgetting the student's face and name. This episode reveals a softer, more sentimental side, but it does not lead to lasting change in her behavior.

Within the story, Minami primarily serves as comic relief through her persistent sleepiness and indifferent attitude. She interacts most frequently with the Game Creation Club members, including the delinquent-turned-reluctant-member Kenji Kazama, student council president Chitose Karasuyama, and the other eccentric girls. Her relationship with them is low-effort but amicable; she is more of an observer than an active participant. The club members tolerate her because she does not interfere, and she occasionally provides minor assistance or validation.

Over the course of the series, Minami undergoes very little personal development. The brief activation of her perfect mode and the flashback to the former student provide rare moments of focus, but she quickly returns to her default state of drowsiness. Her character remains static, defined by a consistent lack of motivation and a comedic reliance on her stun gun and sleeping habits. Notable abilities include the aforementioned perfect mode and her proficiency with the stun gun, though these are used so rarely that they function more as gags than practical skills.
