Description
Miyoshi Seikai Nyuudou was originally a resident of the Izumo shrine. He was raised there alongside Isanami, whom he came to regard as a younger sister, after the shrine's head priest took them both in. Before the main events of Brave10, he left the shrine and set out on a journey by himself, seeking his own understanding of faith after the truth about Isanami's nature caused him to question the path of God.
He has a very loud and outspoken personality. He is quick to express his emotions, and he is seen getting jealous over the growing closeness between Isanami and Kirigakure Saizo. Despite his brash exterior, he cares for Isanami very deeply and views it as his duty to protect her. His primary motivation is safeguarding Isanami, whom he treats as his own sister, and he is willing to go to great lengths to keep her safe. His journey is also driven by an internal search for his own personal god, a quest that began after he learned what Isanami truly was.
Within the story, Miyoshi serves as one of the Sanada Ten Braves, a group of exceptional warriors assembled by Sanada Yukimura. He is a loyal subordinate, though his role often centers on his protective relationship with Isanami rather than political ambition. His element is earth, reflecting his role as a physically grounded and immovable force in battle.
His most significant relationship is with Isanami, his adoptive sister. He picked her up in Izumo when she was a baby, and the bond between them is the emotional core of his character. He is also notably jealous of Saizo's relationship with Isanami, as he worries about her growing attachment to the ninja. His relationship with Yukimura is that of a loyal retainer, though his personal mission often takes precedence.
Miyoshi's development revolves around the tension between his protective instincts and his search for spiritual clarity. When he discovered Isanami's true power, he became confused about his faith and left the shrine to find his own understanding of divinity. Throughout the series, he reconciles his role as a protector with his own evolving beliefs.
In terms of abilities, Miyoshi possesses monstrous physical power. His muscles are strong enough to block shuriken and crush the ground beneath him. He is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant whose raw strength makes him a significant threat on the battlefield. As his element is earth, his fighting style is rooted in stability, endurance, and overwhelming force.
