Description
"Brave 10" is set in the tumultuous Sengoku period of Japan, a time of widespread conflict and political upheaval. The story centers on Saizo Kirigakure, a wandering ninja with a mysterious past, who becomes entangled in the ambitions of Isanami, a shrine maiden from the destroyed Izumo shrine. Isanami seeks revenge against the warlord Tokugawa Ieyasu, whom she believes is responsible for the massacre of her people. She enlists the help of Yukimura Sanada, a charismatic and ambitious warlord, who gathers ten powerful warriors, known as the Sanada Ten Braves, to protect her and challenge the Tokugawa forces.

The narrative unfolds as Saizo reluctantly joins Yukimura's cause, drawn by a sense of duty and a growing connection to Isanami. The Sanada Ten Braves consist of diverse and skilled individuals, each with unique abilities and backgrounds. Among them are Kamanosuke, a stoic swordsman; Sasuke Sarutobi, a cheerful and agile ninja; and Yuri Kamanosuke, a fierce and determined warrior. Together, they face numerous battles against Tokugawa's forces and other rival factions, navigating political intrigue, personal rivalries, and supernatural threats.

As the story progresses, the true nature of Isanami's powers is revealed, adding a layer of mysticism to the historical backdrop. Her abilities, tied to ancient gods and dark forces, become a focal point of the conflict, drawing the attention of powerful enemies. The series balances action-packed combat sequences with moments of character development, exploring the motivations and relationships within the group. Themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the cost of ambition are woven throughout the narrative, as the Sanada Ten Braves strive to protect Isanami and shape the future of Japan. The plot builds toward a climactic confrontation, where alliances are tested, and the fate of the nation hangs in the balance.

3Valley of Whirlwinds
Kamanosuke,a thief who relishes combat, ambushes Saizo, Isanami, and Kakei on the road. He quickly overpowers the group and isolates Isanami from her protectors. Kamanosuke then subjects Isanami to physical torture, using her suffering as deliberate provocation. His explicit goal is to force Saizo to abandon his restraint and unleash his lethal killer instincts. Saizo faces an internal confrontation as Kamanosuke’s cruelty threatens to strip away the control he maintains over his own violent nature. This ambush occurs after Saizo successfully prevents Ieyasu’s forces from capturing Isanami, completing their immediate mission. Lord Yukimura rewards their success by assigning an additional warrior to accompany them on their ongoing journey to investigate Izumo. The attack by Kamanosuke interrupts their travel and introduces a new, unpredictable threat. The thief’s actions directly target Saizo’s resolve, placing Isanami’s safety in extreme jeopardy to manipulate him. The group’s forward progress halts as they must first survive this encounter and the psychological pressure Kamanosuke exerts. With Isanami held captive and Saizo’s composure cracking, the mission to Izumo hangs in the balance. The episode closes with the group’s path forward now contingent on Saizo confronting the very darkness Kamanosuke seeks to awaken.
4The Sun's Shadow
Saizo and Isanami arrive at a village where Kakei Juzo,a warrior who commands fire, attacks them. Kakei acts under orders from Miyoshi Seikai, who aims to capture Isanami for her spiritual energy. Saizo’s speed allows him to evade Kakei’s flames, but he cannot break through the fire barrier surrounding Kakei. Isanami steps forward and uses her power to sense Kakei’s emotions, uncovering that Seikai holds Kakei’s younger brother hostage to secure his service. Saizo disarms Kakei and offers to free his brother in exchange for his loyalty. Kakei accepts and joins the group, becoming the fourth warrior to align with Sanada Yukimura’s cause. With Kakei now among them, the party gains a powerful fire user capable of both offense and defense. Meanwhile, Seikai dispatches a new operative to track the growing band, promising continued pursuit. The episode closes with the group united but now facing a more coordinated enemy force.
5Episode 5
The Braves rest after the Iga battle, but Isanami’s visions intensify, showing flames consuming her. Saizo receives intelligence that Toyotomi forces have dispatched assassins to eliminate the Braves. Kakei Juzo leads the assault, wielding razor-sharp threads that slice through armor and flesh. He ambushes the group, separating Isanami from Saizo and Rokuro. Rokuro attempts to shield Isanami but suffers severe wounds from Kakei’s precision attacks. Saizo engages Kakei directly, yet his sword cannot counter the threads’ unpredictable reach. Isanami’s desperation triggers a sudden burst of fiery energy, burning away Kakei’s threads and forcing a temporary retreat. The Braves recognize that Isanami’s power, still unstable, both protects and endangers them. Seeking a safe haven, they reach a church where Anastasia, a foreign missionary, offers shelter. Anastasia shows a keen interest in Isanami’s abilities, hinting at her own connection to the artifacts the Braves seek. Kakei reports the failure to his superior, who orders a more ruthless approach involving a new operative. The episode ends with the Braves trapped between Kakei’s relentless pursuit and the uncertain motives of their host.

Saizō and the others return to Ueda Castle to report to Yukimura Sanada. Isanami’s spiritual exhaustion persists after her power was drained in the previous battle, and Saizō remains close to her, his vigilance sharpened. Yukimura tasks the group with escorting the priestess Takigawa to the Takeda Shrine to recruit Rokurō Umebachi, a sniper counted among the ten Braves. The party travels through forested mountain paths and falls into an ambush laid by Tokugawa forces led by Hanzō Hattori. Hanzō deploys his men in a coordinated assault, and the group scatters in the chaos. Isanami becomes separated and encounters Rokurō, who refuses to join them. Saizō fights through enemy lines to reach her, and his determination persuades Rokurō to intervene. Rokurō uses his bow to drive back the attackers, and Hanzō withdraws, revealing he staged the attack to test the Braves’ capabilities. Rokurō agrees to return to Ueda, formally aligning with Yukimura. Yukimura receives word that the Tokugawa army is mobilizing in larger numbers, setting the stage for a larger conflict.

Saizo Kirigakure and Isanami enter Kasugayama Castle with the other warriors to retrieve the second armor piece. Inside, they confront Unno Rokuro, a samurai transformed into a demonic being by the armor’s corrupting power. Unno attacks with overwhelming force, separating the group and targeting Isanami. Saizo counters Unno’s strength with speed and precise techniques, engaging him in direct combat. Isanami tries to use her power to suppress the corruption, but the armor’s influence proves resistant. Sasuke Sarutobi and Kakei Juzo support Saizo by creating openings and diverting Unno’s attention. Unno reveals he took the armor to protect his lord, only to lose himself to its curse. Saizo lands a decisive strike that shatters the armor fragment, releasing Unno from its hold. Freed from the corruption, Unno returns to human form and dies peacefully, entrusting the inert armor piece to Isanami. The group secures the second fragment, but the battle draws the attention of Tokugawa Ieyasu’s forces. As they leave Kasugayama, a ninja formerly allied with Sasuke receives orders to intercept them.
8The Birth of a Brave
Tokugawa Ieyasu, humiliated at a tea gathering, orders Date Masamune to capture Sanada Yukimura. Masamune arrives with a large army, trapping Yukimura between the lake and the advancing soldiers. Yukimura shows no fear and declares his unwavering confidence in his warriors. His words ignite a fierce resolve in Saizo, Isanami, and the others to fight as true Braves. A desperate battle erupts as the Braves clash with Masamune’s forces. Seikai unleashes powerful blows against the group. Amid the fighting, a thunderclap echoes across the lake, and a mysterious pirate ship emerges from the mist. The ship’s arrival interrupts the confrontation, and a new warrior aboard stops Seikai’s attack with a single hand. The identity of this powerful ally remains unknown, but his intervention shifts the immediate balance of the battle.
9The Sound of Chains
After the previous battle,Isanami wanders alone and falls into a trap laid by Hattori Hanzō’s ninja, who bind her with enchanted chains and transport her to a hidden fortress. Saizō, realizing her disappearance, sets out immediately with Rokurō and Kakei, leaving the others to guard Sanada’s headquarters. The rescue team navigates a forest filled with explosive tags and ambushes, thinning their numbers and delaying their advance. At the fortress, the chain-wielding commander, Kazamatsuri, mocks Isanami’s futile attempts to summon her spiritual powers, which are neutralized by the fortress’s seal. Saizō reaches the fortress alone after Rokurō stays behind to hold off pursuing enemies, and he confronts Kazamatsuri in a narrow corridor. Kazamatsuri’s kusarigama attacks pin Saizō’s limbs, but Saizō deliberately allows a chain to cut his leg, using the opening to close distance and deliver a kick to the commander’s chest. The blow cracks Kazamatsuri’s mask, revealing his face, but he retreats deeper into the fortress and releases a swarm of puppets that drive Saizō back. Inside her cell, Isanami hears the sounds of battle and channels her remaining strength to break the seal, creating an explosion that collapses part of the fortress. The collapse separates Saizō from Isanami, and Kazamatsuri seizes the moment to escape with Isanami through a secret passage. As the fortress crumbles, Saizō emerges to find no trace of Isanami, and the episode closes with Sanada Yukimura receiving word that the Tokugawa forces are mobilizing a larger invasion force. Saizō vows to pursue regardless, setting the stage for a direct clash between the Sanada Ten Braves and the full strength of Hattori Hanzō’s ninja corps.
