His work has been honored multiple times at the Prêmio Yamato (also known as the Oscar da Dublagem), winning Best Protagonist Voice Actor in 2003 for his portrayal of Yugi in Yu-Gi-Oh! and again in 2006 for his role as Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist.
