Description
Mireille Marres Ascot is the second daughter of Marquis Ascot and the younger sister of Noel Marres Ascot. She comes from a wealthy, noble family and is portrayed as a kindhearted and gentle young woman. In her childhood, she was involved in a jousting accident caused by her sister's carelessness, which left her paralyzed from the waist down and forced her to use a wheelchair. Despite this life-altering injury, Mireille holds no grudge against Noel and wholeheartedly supports her sister's aspirations in jousting. Her father, deeply devastated by Mireille's accident, developed a strong hatred for jousting and attempted to forbid Noel from competing. Mireille herself does not appear to be bothered by her condition and maintains a cheerful, resilient demeanor. She is notably skilled in cooking and often takes on that role within her household. In the story, she functions as a supporting figure, primarily through her relationship with her sister and her quiet, steady presence. Her motivations are centered on being a source of encouragement for Noel and maintaining harmony within her family. Mireille does not go through a dramatic personal arc but remains a stable, empathetic character who demonstrates that one can find purpose and happiness even after a tragic setback.
