Description
Oyakata Kurobee is a supporting character in the anime Coppelion. He is a survivor of the disaster that devastated Tokyo and one of the residents of a self-contained dome known as The Planet. Within this community, he is placed in charge of the security and safety of the other survivors, making him a central figure in maintaining order and protecting the people who live there.

His background is partly revealed through his practical skills. It is hinted that, prior to the accident, he worked as a structural engineer, which explains his solid knowledge of materials and structures. This expertise is well suited to life inside The Planet, where understanding the integrity of buildings and infrastructure is essential for survival in a ruined and hazardous city.

In appearance, Kurobee is an older man with dark gray hair, black eyes, large eyelashes, and growing beard hair around his chin. He wears a brown jacket with dark brown fur lining around the collar, a white polo shirt, olive green pants, and black boots. He is often seen smoking a small pipe, which adds to his calm and seasoned manner.

His personality is notably cheerful. Despite the grim circumstances of the post-disaster world, he is almost always jolly and ready to take action when needed. He genuinely cares for his fellow survivors and also shows warmth and concern toward the Coppelion team when their missions bring them into contact with him. His motivation centers on the welfare of the people under his protection and on supporting those who are working to help survivors.

In the story, his role is mainly that of a guardian and community leader inside The Planet. He uses his engineering knowledge to help keep the environment livable and safe, and he cooperates with the Coppelions by providing assistance and insight during their operations. His relationships are built around his responsibility to the other survivors, and he treats the visiting Coppelion members with respect and kindness.

His abilities are not those of a fighter, but rather of a skilled and knowledgeable builder and manager. His understanding of structures, his practical problem-solving, and his steady leadership make him a reliable and valuable presence in the struggle to survive and to rescue those still left in the contaminated city. Throughout the story, he remains a constant and supportive figure, focused on protecting his community and helping the rescue efforts succeed.
