TV-Series
Description
Nami Kisugi is the eldest of the three Kisugi sisters who form the art‑thief team Cat’s Eye. She operates the café that serves as the family’s daytime front and acts as the strategist and coordinator for the group’s heists. Nami is a calm, sophisticated, and mature woman who often assumes a maternal role toward her younger siblings, balancing her responsibilities as a thief and as a caregiver. Her motivations are driven by the desire to recover the artworks that belonged to her missing father, Michael Heinz, a collection scattered after his betrayal during the Nazi era. In the story, she is the brains behind the team’s plans, using her sharp intellect and careful research to assign roles and devise security‑bypassing methods. She is also highly resourceful in the field, capable of piloting vehicles, skydiving, and speaking multiple languages to maintain their cover. Her close relationship with her sisters Hitomi and Ai is central to her character; she protects them and relies on their unique talents—Hitomi’s athleticism and Ai’s technical expertise. Over the course of the series, Nami remains a steady, composed presence, though her protective nature sometimes leads her to be cautious and controlling. Her notable abilities include advanced planning, disguise, multilingual fluency, and practical skills such as driving and parachuting, which make her an indispensable member of the trio.
