Description
Kagami Todori is a supporting character in Fantasista Doll, initially appearing as a rival to the main protagonist, Uzume Uno. She is a young teenage girl, approximately thirteen years old, and is an underclassman to Uzume. Kagami has a distinct appearance characterized by her blue eyes and long blue hair, which she typically wears in double pigtails, with two sections tied in short bunches and the other two left much longer. Her usual attire consists of her school uniform.

At the beginning of the story, Kagami acts as an antagonist. She presents a cool and stern demeanor towards Uzume, and her primary goal is to take Uzume's cards. This outwardly hostile and abrasive behavior, however, is largely a facade. Her more genuine interactions reveal a friendly nature and a great smile, though she struggles to maintain a consistently happy tone when working alongside others due to her tendency to be mildly abrasive. Beneath her antagonistic surface, Kagami is actually a kind person. She is known to display a classic tsundere personality, often acting tough while showing moments of vulnerability and kindness, such as when she secretly defeats an opponent who was causing trouble. Despite her confident front, she is self-conscious about her short stature and still holds innocent beliefs, such as believing in Santa Claus.

Kagami's motivations are deeply rooted in her past. As a young child, her older brother, Makoto Todori, was kidnapped. While others around her tried to move on and forget, Kagami refused to give up hope and was determined to find him by any means necessary. This desperate search led her to join the Mutual Hopes' Supporting Committee, an organization that promised to help ensure her brother's safety in exchange for her delivering Uzume's cards to them. Her pursuit of Uzume is not born out of malice but from a misguided belief that serving the Committee is the only path to reuniting with her long-lost brother.

In the story, Kagami is a Card Master who joins the school card club before Uzume, where she interacts with other club members and shows signs of looking up to a fellow member named Manai. Initially, her friendly behavior towards Uzume in the club is a ruse to get close to her, but this act becomes complicated as she finds herself genuinely bonding with Uzume and the other girls. She experiences significant internal conflict, torn between her love for her missing brother and the new friendships she is developing. This internal struggle intensifies when she receives what she believes is credible information about her brother, leading her to resolve to confront Uzume. However, even in this confrontation, she finds herself unable to act with complete ruthlessness. Eventually, she abandons the fight, is expelled from the Mutual Hopes' Supporting Committee, and chooses to side with Uzume. After her brother is safely found, Kagami becomes more honest and open, fully accepting Uzume's friendship and acting as a true ally.

Kagami possesses notable abilities as a Card Master. Her battle style focuses on leveraging her Dolls' high combat capabilities, generally allowing them to act autonomously in battle. As someone who is fundamentally kind, she prefers to engage opponents in straightforward, fair fights from a position of equal footing, rather than using underhanded tricks or surprise attacks.
