Description
Miya Tachibana is a supporting character in the anime Amagami SS+. She is the younger sister of the protagonist, Junichi Tachibana, and a first-year high school student in class 1-B at Kibotou High School. In private, she playfully calls her brother Nii-ni, while in public she refers to him as oniichan to maintain a modest distance. Miya has dark hair and dark eyes, with a slight resemblance to her brother, and stands 158 cm tall. Her birthday is June 22.

Her personality is marked by a capricious, selfish, and clingy disposition. She is possessive of her brother and often becomes jealous when he spends time with other girls, though she makes exceptions for her close friends Sae Nakata, Ai Nanasaki, and Rihoko Sakurai. Miya openly shows affection toward Junichi when they are alone, but she also wants to appear more mature in front of others. She has a strong attachment to her brother and frequently seeks his attention. At the same time, she is insecure about her childlike physique, which she occasionally remarks on or tries to downplay through humor or teasing. Her cooking skills are notably poor, to the point of being a running joke.

Miya's role in the story is primarily that of a secondary character who interacts with Junichi and the main heroines. She often provides insight into her brother's daily life and occasionally meddles in his romantic affairs out of concern or curiosity. In the special OVA episode Amagami SS: Tachibana Miya-hen - Imouto, she takes a more central role, spying on her brother at school after hearing that others consider him kind, and worrying that he might end up alone. This episode explores her protective feelings and her desire for him to be happy, even as she struggles with her own jealousy.

Her key relationships center on her brother Junichi, with whom she shares a close but teasing bond. She also maintains friendships with several of the series' heroines, particularly those in her class or peer group. Through the course of Amagami SS+, she shows subtle growth in becoming more self-aware of her brother's independence, though she remains consistently affectionate and possessive. Miya does not possess any special abilities; her notable traits are her energetic personality, her distinctive way of addressing her brother, and her fondness for meat buns.
