Description
Dr. Oldham is the leading physician and scholar of the Gargantia fleet, a floating community that travels across a world covered almost entirely by water. He is widely considered the most knowledgeable person aboard the fleet, a reputation that leads the young courier Amy to bring Ledo to him when the soldier first arrives and needs to understand where he is. Oldham works out of a modest library perched atop one of the fleet's spires, where he tends to a personal collection of books and records left over from the old civilization. His work combines two roles: he is the fleet's top doctor, responsible for the health of its people, and he is also a keeper of knowledge, preserving and studying whatever fragments of the past remain.
